Poly Pipeline Installation:
  • Site Preparation: Before installation, the construction site must be prepared. This involves clearing the area, excavating trenches, and ensuring proper alignment according to engineering plans.
  • Trenching: Trenches are dug along the pipeline route to accommodate the pipes. The depth and width of the trench will vary based on factors such as pipe size, soil conditions, and local regulations.
  • Pipe Placement: The polyethylene pipes are lowered into the trenches and positioned according to the design specifications.
  • Jointing: If not already done during fabrication, joints are created in the field. Butt fusion and electrofusion techniques are used to connect the pipe segments, ensuring a secure and leak-proof connection.
  • Backfilling: Once the pipes are in place and joints are secure, the trenches are backfilled with suitable materials. Proper compaction is essential to prevent settling and damage to the pipeline.
  • Commissioning: Fluids are introduced into the system, and its performance is monitored to ensure it operates as designed.
  • Maintenance and Monitoring: Regular maintenance and monitoring of the poly pipeline are essential to prevent issues, ensure longevity, and respond to any potential problems promptly.

G&M Poly only use and supply pipe manufactured in Australia to accredited Australian Standards, and our welders are accredited in POLYTEC Butt Welding and Electrofusion Welding. We provide on-site butt welding of poly pipe 110mm up to 1200mm.

HDPE Poly Pipe

G&M Poly use extruded high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe is ideally suited to butt welding applications such as pipe lines. It is available in 12m – 20m lengths in a range of diameters. Ribbed Pipe

Corrugated high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe is light weight, durable, strong, requires low cover and is hydraulically efficient with superior performance in gravity-flow drainage application. The pipe is of dual wall construction, with a corrugated outer wall and a smooth inner wall, both of high density polyethylene (HDPE) to provide high strength material properties. This allows for low cover (300mm min) and deep burial installations. The light weight of the pipe along with the built in bell and factory installed gasket enables faster installation. Available in 4m or 6m lengths, pipe sizes ranging from 100mm to 1500mm diameter.
